In a world of short-lived consumer goods, the quality product is gaining an ever bigger importance. Corresponding needs are catered for by branded products, such as household appliances from Graef Company. The family-owned company with its headquarters in Arnsberg, located in the astonishingly highly developed industrial region of Southwestern Westphalia in Germany, was set up in 1920, and is based on a carefully guarded and continuously further developed tradition.
Graef is one of the strongest brands in Germany - and has set international standards in its product category. In 2004, 2009, 2013 and again in 2016 our family-owned enterprise has been awarded the “Brand of the century - lighthouse on the seas of brands”.
Thus, Graef belongs to the exclusive circle of only about 250 German brands. What began in the 1960s with the first electric universal cutter in metal design continues today with a high quality assortment of small domestic appliances and professional cutting technique for commercial use. With the know-how of the market leader in the universal cutter premium segment we were able to open up and expand further product segments successfully in the area ”living kitchen”. Thus, in the coffee segment in particular customers are offered high-quality filter-holder espresso machines or coffee grinders for perfect coffee pleasure, apart from toasters, kettles or waffle irons.
Graef products stand out for their design. Awards, such as „Plus X Award“, „Red Dot Design Award“ or the „German Design Award“, demonstrate that our company works extremely successfully in the equipment field as well. The „Brand Award of Deutsche Standards“ has personally been handed on mister Andreas Schmidt, CEO of the Gebr. Graef GmbH & Co. KG at the great brand gala on November, 22nd 2012 in the Berlin Adlon Hotel by Dr. Florian Langenscheidt, publisher of the „Brands of the Century“.
A "Brand of the century"
Graef is one of the strongest brands in Germany. Graef has therefore set many international standards and is one of the most powerful German brands. This is documented by a decision of a high-ranking advisory board to accept the Graef brand to the well-known compendium „Brands of the Century - Beacons in the sea of Brands“ and to award the „Brand Award of Deutsche Standards“ to Graef.
In 1953, the sons of Hermann Graef, who had set up the company 1920 in Arnsberg located in the German Sauerland region, started with the construction of the first manual universal cutter. Then, fourteen years later they put the first electric universal household cutter in metal design on the market, the unique construction of which was protected by the German Patent Office. Many internationally recognised standards were set - from the maintenance- free capacitor motor to Genio carriage or the cantilever construction and gravity slicer - and thus the reputation of Graef products could be extended as especially functional and indestructible kitchen utensils. On account of the long service life, the appliances not rarely accompany their users for several phases of life.
On account of the second business division existing since the 1960s concentrating on professional cutting machines for commercial use, we can use successful sensible innovations and technologies of the commercial field for the domestic use.
